No3 Road, Te Puke
Set amongst the kiwifruit vines, the renovation and extension of this family home has been another successful project with our team working alongside our clients to realise their vision.
The existing floorplan was cleverly reconfigured and extended by MnM Design Ltd, transforming the original front entrance to a kitchen scullery with superb built in bar area; adding space for formal dining complete with window seat; extending the office; creating a rumpus from a previous bedroom and adding a further 2 bedrooms opening onto a wide deck. Re-purposing a second entrance created a stunning new front foyer while re-shaping existing stairs enabled the master bedroom to be extended to form a luxurious retreat complete with glass walled ensuite.
Original Tawa sarking was upcycled and re-used for cathedral style ceilings throughout the kitchen and living areas, while exposed timber beams frame white plaster for a feature ceiling in the new formal dining area. Double glazed windows high in the gables, large picture windows framing views, a wall of stacker sliding doors opening to a deck stretching the length of the house and thoughtful placement of skylights flood rooms with light, while banks of solar panels on the roof make equally efficient use of the sun. Natural cedar, light painted walls and sharp black joinery form a consistent exterior combination: contrasting with yet complementary to the surrounding greenscape.
We are especially pleased that we were able to complete this awesome project in time for summer: our clients were able to relax and enjoy their fabulous ‘new’ home with fresh landscaping around their existing pool, and our team could be proud that working together, we helped to deliver their dream.
We have completed a significant renovation with Precise Builders. Not an easy project being a mid-70’s architecturally designed home with bespoke features. As imaginable, there were our fair share of (anticipated) surprises uncovered during the process. When undertaking such a large project and financial commitment we felt that relationship, professionalism, and integrity was a priority for us. We therefore chose Precise Builders due to Dave and Rachael’s positive demeanor, professionalism, reliability, high standards and excitement about the project.
Dave and his team were consistently available no matter the situation. The team is also adaptable. As issues arose, it was easy to discuss and Dave as our project manager’s approach was always solution focused and never shown to be a problem.
Dave has established a fabulous team to work with him (supporting staff and external trades). All seem like-minded and of similar values when it comes to quality, service and communication. Dave has ‘the knack’ when it comes to coordinating teams, ensuring reasonable deadlines and consistency. He captured and understood our wishes accurately when it came to finer details, overall look, and products. We were ALWAYS included and involved in decisions!
Now our home is complete, it has exceeded expectations. Visitors and our Architects are quick to comment on the quality of the finish and the attention to detail. Also, importantly to us, the unavoidable snags and ‘settle in tweaks’ are being seen to – no issue.
The success of our relationship and outcome has led us to continue our working relationship with Precise Builders. We have numerous other projects; large and small, on the go with the team. Obviously, we would not hesitate to recommend Dave, Rachael, and their team to anyone considering any building project, big or small.
